3 Keys to a Growing Church
Pastors, the Bible teaches in Acts that entrusting ministry to capable leaders will cause the church to grow!
Acts 6:6-7
They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them. So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
3 Keys to Developing and Releasing Leaders in your Ministry
SEE The gold in people! Pray for eyes to see the purpose and potential in people. My pastor, Jurgen Matthesius, has a great book on this called “Leadersight.” Focus more on seeing and calling out the gold in who God has sent you than looking to hire the next best pastor/staff from a ministry recruiting site.
Create an atmosphere for trial and error! If people are afraid to try because of how they will get treated or benched, you’ll never get the best out of people. Draw on your team’s God-given anointings and gifts and call them to step out in their leadership roles.
Have a seat at your table! The best way to model is through them watching and doing. The key here is to invite people close enough to see your whole world. Not just what you say on a stage, but how you live. The impact of the platform will be the overflow of the private world.
Have you ever felt overlooked? Or maybe like your calling is being delayed or even denied? Well, you’re in good company, because all of the greats in Biblical and truly throughout human history have gone through God’s process of promotion called obscurity. The process of God’s promotion begins with a calling and is always followed by a hidden season of testing until we’re ready for the full purpose that He has for us. There’s no shortcut to your potential, you must go through The Process of Promotion. The challenge often is that as we're walking through these obscure seasons it's easy to get distracted, discouraged or disillusioned and then quit. But, God designed this season to make you not break you! This season is not because he's mad at you but because He loves you and has a massive plan for you that could break you if you're not ready for it!In this book, you're going to learn about the nine ways that God uses obscurity to prepare you for your purpose. Each of these areas have been specifically worked through in my own journey over the last several decades of my life. I get honest and personal in how God has applied and work through each part of the process of promotions. The nine ways are:The Repetition of ObscurityThe Darkness of ObscurityThe Invisibility of ObscurityThe Quietness of ObscurityThe Clarity of ObscurityThe Separation of ObscurityThe Length of ObscurityThe Danger of ObscurityThe Reward of ObscurityThe Process of Promotion is: Calling > Obscurity > Promotion.I'm praying that you are encouraged as you read this book and I'd love to hear from you after you read the book.
